This flood data may be used in coordination with regulatory Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) as best available flood hazard information. Properties within the SFHA are at a high risk of flooding, with at least a 26 chance of flooding over the course of a 30-year mortgage. As of April 1, 2023, FEMA has fully implemented the National Flood Insurance Program s (NFIP) pricing approach, Risk Rating 2.0. These practices are intended to improve the chance of a home safely weathering a flood event. Flood maps show the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) the area that would be affected by a 1-annual-chance flood (or base flood).
